ESKYIU PLAYKITS
Nike and Swire Properties, 2018
An interactive exhibition at ArtisTree, Taikoo Place, from 17 to 28 November 2018, marking ten years of ESKYIU. Play as cultural exchange: a sports court with Nike, a round table of chief executives on when work is play, and a new-music series with the Hong Kong New Music Ensemble.
Objects from old sneakers
The interactive objects were made from Nike Grind, a material ground from recycled sneakers, which gave every piece a tactile, unexpected surface.
A room rebuilt overnight
The space changed with the programme. Some days needed a rearrangement, others a complete disassembly and rebuild overnight for the next day. I documented the events and the visitors on film.
