A web application for walking through a space before it exists, made possible by cloud pixel streaming. Developers used it to market apartments, run architecture competitions and let buyers choose their own materials.
Why it streams
A photoreal building is far too heavy for a phone to render. A GPU instance runs the Unreal scene and encodes each frame into a WebRTC video stream, and the browser sends back the clicks and camera moves.
What a launch looks like
JADE in Zurich ran on it for three months: 7,780 people, 105,503 page views, 23,482 clicks on apartment cards, 8,394 streams started. Every apartment was reserved within a month.
