Atlas of Social Attitudes

A data platform on how Europeans think about work, family, religion, politics and more. It brings together survey evidence from the major cross-national programmes and opens it to students, journalists, researchers and policy analysts through maps, trend charts and data stories.

Two maps comparing how often women and men in Switzerland pray weekly.
A data story on changing norms around working mothers.

Three views of every indicator

A map shows how attitudes vary across countries, a trend chart how they shifted over time, and a breakdown how the answers are distributed. Each can be compared by sex, age and education.

Stories from the data

Editors compose data stories from text and specific views of the survey data, so a chart in a story is the same chart a reader can open and explore.
